February 29, 2008A Gilford business found its scrap pile to be a little light when the company opened for business on Thursday. Weld Fab Technologies in Gilford had about $500 worth of aluminum carried off its lot over Wednesday night.
Being a fabrication business working with various metals, it tends to generate a fair amount of scrap metal, which is later used on various projects.
Copper thefts continue to be problematic

HAMBURG — Tilden Township police are investigating a theft from a vehicle at Boat N RV Superstore, 20 Industrial Drive, Tilden Township.
Police said that between Saturday and Thursday, someone entered a motor home belonging to Carolyn G. Miller, 66, of W. Linfield Trappe Road, Royersford, and Joseph F. Egan, 52, of Hawthorne Lane, Hamburg.
The thief removed more than $2,800 worth of electronic equipment and tools from the motor home, which was parked in the lot for repair work, police said.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. – A large amount of copper wire was reported stolen Thursday from buildings under construction on West Baltimore Street, Greencastle police said in a news release.
Power tools stolen in Warfordsburg
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Troopers today were investigating the theft last week of power tools from Sheeder Construction Inc. in Warfordsburg, Pa. At some point between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21, someone cut a lock of a trailer and took power tools, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.
