Motorists beware

A SPATE of thefts has prompted police to warn Worcestershire drivers to be wary.

Motorists in Evesham and surrounding villages are being told to take further steps to protect their vehicles after a number of thefts in the area on Tuesday, March 12.

The first incident took place in High Street, Badsey, when items worth £5,500 were taken from a blue Ford Transit panel van overnight.

Two drills, 10 batteries, a saw, a jigsaw, 2,000m of cable and other power tools were stolen.

Among recent reports generated by local law enforcement agencies:

Burglary at 200 block of Willow Street. A contractor who had been remodeling an apartment here said the place was broken into overnight. Missing was $500 in tools. Means of entry unconfirmed.

Theft from vehicle at 1900 block of Hogan Lane. Missing was $1,163 in property. A rear driver side door was broken.

Theft from boat docked at Lake Beaverfork. Missing were 10 fishing poles.

Vehicle theft at 1600 block of Westlake Drive gray 1987 Chevrolet Caprice, Arkansas license plate 104-JGW.
